About Chilli Peppers Cookshop
Although we encourage you to use our on-line shop, if you want to visit us in person, our shop in Louth, Lincolnshire is open from Monday to Saturday from 9.30 am to 5pm.
Jo Woolliams or one of her fully trained assistances, Alison, Sarah and Liz will be on hand to give advice on any of the products listed. Jo has over twenty years experience in the food industry and her inability to find specialist equipment prompted her to open Chilli Peppers.
When you visit the Chilli Peppers Cookshop, you find real people who are accountable for what they sell. Having spent some time trying to determine what will make Chilli Peppers so special, it occurred to me that the lasting impression generated by most web site stores is a pretty disappointing shopping experience. We hope to create a difference and make your stay complete retail therapy!!
So here is how it works.........
Firstly, make yourself a coffee – we offer all our customers one in the shop and most accept our hospitality! Of course you have the added advantage of pouring yourself a G&T which would’t go a miss at this juncture - something I am afraid to say is unavailable in the shop! Next, slide in a K D Lang or Bat for Lashes if you fancy a little excitement and CHILL.
The categories on offer on our web site are listed just as you would see them in our store in Louth, so browse away. There are comments by us in every department but we also welcome your comments which we may use to extend our descriptions.
Remember this is our web site. You are included! So please join in and have some fun.
Who are you talking to?
Jo Woolliams: Owner only financially because basically our customers are the main inspiration and their ideas are what truly govern the type of shop we have developed into. Trained in Business – then catering - then recognized the need for a specialist cookshop which actually sells the things we need. Chilli Peppers opened 20th January 2003 and by the Autumn was awarded finalist in Housewares new retailer of the year. Since then we have enjoyed entertaining customers with cookery workshops, open days and special events. The shop has since been awarded finalist in National Cookshop showing the most initiative and cookshop of the year twice!. Jo regularly writes articles for the Housewares magazine and is a panelist judging the latest designs for the housewares awards.
Alison Sullivan: Sales co-ordinate. Hyper activity does not begin to describe the energy created by Ali. This is down to the fact that she has an amazing ability to eat a family tin of cadburys hero's during the course of one evening! Respect! There is no slacking when Ali is in charge if she's not selling she's buying and then rearranging the shop layout to include the latest new stock. Ali has vast experience in retail. She has worked in the household sector for the last 15 years specializing in home design and giftware.
Sarah Wallis: Part-time Sales Co-ordinate- Part-time student! Gorgeous only hired for looks - but we'll try anything! Seriously once customers have stopped starring her knowledge of product is exceptional. Sarah has progressed from general sales to dealing with our on line site increasing her understanding of stock and availability. Sarah's main passion apart from her legionary Friday nights out is cake baking delighting her family and friends with her latest creations.
Liz Spilman: Accounts. Beware Thursdays. We brace ourselves for the usual "and you think you can put that down to expenses!" or "how much stock did you buy this week?" We can't run without her but we genuinely try to run when she is about! Once summoned to the office there's no escape!
If you need a chat about our products remember we are there for you and will assist with your inquiries please don't hesitate to pick up the phone or email us anytime. Please enjoy your time with us.
